Depression is a choice. A new article by Dr Raja King.

Written by Dr Raja King. He is the writer and the editor of The Journal of islamic psychology and islamic philosophy.

Depression is a choice. Happiness is a choice. Being sad is a choice also being happy is a choice. In order to develop emotional intelligence one has to understand that there is more to life, not just the earthly life. This life is a test. You have free will, therefore you can choose to come out of Depression. Here is some practical guidance (islamic solution to depression)

Addressing depression through Islam involves a combination of spiritual, psychological, and practical steps. Here are some key approaches:
• Strengthening the Connection with Allah
• Regular salah (prayer) brings peace and consistency.
• Making dua (supplication), especially heartfelt ones like:
“O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, weakness and laziness…” (Hadith, Abu Dawood).
• Reading and reflecting on the Qur’an, particularly verses of hope and patience, like Surah Ad-Duha and Surah Ash-Sharh.
• Understanding Tests as Part of Life
• Islam teaches that hardships are a test, not a punishment.
• Surah Al-Baqarah 2:286 – “Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear.”
• Seeking Support & Community
• Talking to trusted friends, family, or an imam for guidance.
• Engaging in charity (sadaqah) and helping others can uplift the spirit.
• Mental Health as Part of Deen
• The Prophet ﷺ acknowledged feelings of sadness and stress.
• Seeking professional help (e.g., therapy) is not against Islamic teachings.
• Practicing self-care – healthy eating, exercise, and rest – aligns with the Sunnah.
• Dhikr & Gratitude
• Saying “La ilaha illa anta, subhanaka, inni kuntu minaz-zalimin” (Dua of Yunus) for relief. Also saying: Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah many times throughout the day…

The lost people such as Sheldon Cooper and Richard Dawkins.

A new article by Mohammed Raja Miah

The lost people (especially atheists and non-muslims) are using young Sheldon (Netflix) to misguide the children of Adam (peace be upon Adam), telling them there is no God which is incorrect. islam is the correct guidance and the truth from the Creator ALLAH. Always remember that. Let me explain, You don’t need science to prove that the Creator ALLAH is a fact. So for argument sake if someone says there is no Creator in that case there should be absolutely nothing but that is not the case. The creation all around us is the proof. You see you have to have someone uncreated and supernatural to begin creation. That is what the Creator ALLAH did. The Creator ALLAH is uncreated by definition. The real you is your Soul not your earthly body. Universes within a limited multiverse consist of, time, space, space – time and matter, quantum fields, subatomic particles, elements of the periodic table, therefore galaxies, stars, comets, asteroids, planets, moons and so forth. Therefore the universe is not a Creator. The universe is without intelligence. The universe is not alive like a human mind. Like a human brain. in other words the universe and or a universe within a limited multiverse and or the limited multiverse did not create you. The Creator ALLAH created you, me and all that exists meaning the observable and the non observable existence therefore the entire existence the visible and the invisible. The formation of a star or a formation of a solar system is to do with intelligence. This intelligence comes from the intelligent designer the intelligent designer is the Creator ALLAH. The arabic word ALLAH means the one who deserves all worship.

We don’t die we taste death.

There is no escaping the punishment of Hell-fire. This is because the real you is your soul not your earthly body. The Soul is real because healthy people with healthy organs and healthy heart suddenly experience death regardless of age and good health. The soul lives forever. The soul experiences death. The soul is subjected to punishment or reward. If you choose to go against islam. Against the Creator ALLAH and the final messenger, last prophet. Reject deny islam, Quran and sunnah. Therefore reject, deny the Creator ALLAH and the Last prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wa sallam. Then there will be Hell to pay. If you choose to experience death as a non Muslim then you end up in Hell-fire forever having said this the Creator ALLAH knows best.

Adventurous Lily.

Short story by Raja Miah and chat gpt 4.

Once upon a time, in the enchanting land of Arindale, there lived a young girl named Lily. Arindale was known for its lush green meadows, sparkling rivers, and towering mountains that kissed the sky. Lily was an adventurous and curious soul who loved exploring the beauty of nature. One sunny morning, as the birds chirped their melodious songs, Lily decided to embark on a journey to discover a legendary treasure said to be hidden deep within the Heartwood Forest. The Heartwood Forest was an ancient and mystical place, whispered to be protected by magical creatures. With a knapsack filled with provisions, Lily set off on her grand adventure. As she ventured deeper into the forest, the air became dense with a sweet fragrance, and sunlight filtered through the thick foliage, creating a mesmerizing dance of light and shadows. Suddenly, a tiny, winged creature fluttered in front of Lily. It was a whimsical fairy named Aurora, known for her mischievous yet kind nature. Aurora’s wings shimmered with hues of gold and her laughter tinkled like the sound of tiny bells. “Young traveler, what brings you to our enchanted realm?” Aurora asked, her voice filled with curiosity. “I seek the legendary treasure hidden within the Heartwood Forest,” Lily replied with determination. Aurora giggled, her eyes sparkling with delight. “Ah, the treasure that many have sought! But only those with pure hearts and unwavering courage can uncover its secrets. Will you prove yourself, Lily?” Lily nodded eagerly, accepting the challenge. Aurora led her through winding paths, ancient trees, and babbling brooks. Along the way, they encountered magical creatures like talking animals, playful nymphs, and elusive sprites. Each encounter tested Lily’s kindness, patience, and bravery. Finally, after days of traversing the mystical forest, they arrived at a hidden glade, bathed in a soft golden light. In the center stood a majestic tree, its trunk adorned with intricate carvings and glowing symbols. Aurora spoke softly, “Behold, Lily, the Tree of Dreams. Within its roots lies the treasure you seek. But you must answer one final question to unlock its secrets.” Lily took a deep breath, her heart pounding with anticipation. “Ask me, Aurora.” Aurora smiled warmly. “What is the most precious treasure of all?” Lily pondered for a moment, her mind racing with possibilities. Then, she whispered, “Love.” Aurora’s wings shimmered brighter than ever before. She nodded approvingly and touched the trunk of the Tree of Dreams. Instantly, it glowed with a radiant light, revealing a hidden compartment. Inside, there was no gold or jewels but a small, delicate flower—an exquisite bloom filled with pure love and everlasting beauty. Lily gazed at the flower in awe, understanding that love was the true treasure that could bring joy, healing, and magic to the world. She gently plucked the flower and cradled it in her hands, feeling its warmth and energy. Filled with gratitude, Lily thanked Aurora and bid farewell to the Heartwood Forest. As she returned to her village, she shared the tale of her adventure and the valuable lesson she had learned. From that day forward, Lily became known as the bearer of love, spreading kindness and compassion wherever she went. And the flower from the Tree of Dreams blossomed, filling the world with its enchanting fragrance, reminding all who encountered it of the power and beauty of love.

New muslim story

New Sunni-Muslim stories (story 1)

Name: Joshua.

Joshua found solace and resonance in the teachings of Islam, and he felt a deep spiritual connection to its principles. However, he faced a dilemma as his family, staunch followers of Hinduism, were against his decision to convert to Islam. Recognizing the need for support and understanding, Joshua sought guidance from the local Muslim community.

Imam Malik, the respected leader of the local mosque, became aware of Joshua’s situation and empathized with his predicament. He decided to intervene and offer his assistance in bridging the gap between Joshua and his family. Imam Malik believed in fostering harmony and promoting understanding among diverse religious communities.

Imam Malik reached out to Joshua’s family, expressing his willingness to engage in a respectful conversation about their concerns and addressing any misconceptions they might have had about Islam. Understanding the importance of family dynamics and the significance of parental approval in such matters, he requested a meeting with Joshua’s parents.

During the meeting, Imam Malik listened attentively to Joshua’s parents’ concerns and anxieties, offering them reassurance and empathy. He emphasized the common values shared by both Hinduism and Islam, such as compassion, respect, and devotion to a higher power. Imam Malik explained the fundamental principles of Islam, focusing on its message of peace, unity, and personal growth.

To further strengthen his argument, Imam Malik highlighted examples of prominent historical figures who embraced Islam while maintaining close ties with their families and communities. He emphasized that embracing Islam did not require severing familial bonds or rejecting one’s cultural heritage.

Throughout the conversation, Imam Malik encouraged open dialogue and answered their questions patiently, dispelling any misconceptions and addressing their fears. He stressed the importance of mutual respect and understanding, urging them to accept Joshua’s decision as a sincere pursuit of spiritual fulfillment.

Over time, Imam Malik continued to engage with Joshua’s family, inviting them to community events, interfaith dialogues, and gatherings where they could witness the inclusive nature of the Muslim community. He introduced them to other families who had experienced similar situations and had found ways to maintain love and harmony despite religious differences.

Gradually, Joshua’s family began to recognize Imam Malik’s genuine intentions and his efforts to bridge the divide. They started to see that Joshua’s decision to embrace islam is the correct one. islam is the correct guidance and the truth from the Creator ALLAH.

Eventually, Joshua’s parents, moved by Imam Malik’s wisdom and compassion, as well as witnessing the positive impact of Islam on their son, began to accept and support his decision. They understood that their love for Joshua should transcend religious differences, and they recognized the importance of nurturing an atmosphere of love and acceptance within their family.

With his family’s newfound acceptance, Joshua felt a great sense of relief and gratitude. He continued to deepen his knowledge of Islam, attending classes and building connections within the Muslim community. Imam Malik became a mentor and guide for Joshua, helping him navigate his new path, islam. Walking the path of islam is the path to Jannah, Paradise.

Joshua’s journey towards becoming a Sunni Muslim was not without its challenges, but with the support of Imam Malik and the understanding he fostered within his family, he found the strength and determination to follow his heart and live according to his newfound beliefs. In time, Joshua’s family grew to appreciate the positive impact Islam had on their son’s life and embraced their own path of religious tolerance and acceptance.
